Hello, we are Suze and Peter from Bell Bears Designs.
Here is some information about us. We collecting teddy bears by ourselves and that's why we start making bears in 1996. In the beginning we make bears like bears from cartoons ( funny one's ). We sell very good but there was more that we want to do, and after a few years we want to make old looking bears.

We love the look from the antique bears, but in the mean time we realized that it was very difficult to make old bears. It's not difficult to damage the bears or make them dirty because everyone can do it. No the magic is that they look really old, use the good materials to give them the good look. You have to think about it , where did the child take his bear, by his arm, ears ect...

Sometimes we get customers on our stand and they get tears in the eye's because they can't believe it , that we make them old. I remember me that we are on a show and a man ask Suze where do you get so many old bears, and she said we make them old by ourselves. But the man could believe it and say that's not possible, they are really old. That's what we always hear it's not possible.

There are bears in the teddy bear museum in Japan and we sell our bears all over the world. We are making bears, rabbits and mousses and we are working now to make a elephant and cat. We are doing 6 shows a year and every year we make something specials for the cataloque from Ian Pout's teddy bears of Witney.

Our hobby's are our son and two french bulldogs and poison arrow frogs.
A good tip for someone to start making bears, make your own design, be original, don't copy anyone. That's the way to success.
